Used for the measurement of B.P.
Brachial artery held its pride
Continuation of the axillary artery
At the lower border of teres minor
Runs till elbow joint
To continue as radial and ulnar
In the proximal arm, lies on the medial side
But changes path moves laterally
To lie between two epicondyles in distal half
I was giving viva in confidence
Then, suddenly the professor asked
With her eyes wide open
Is it teres minor or major
With a smile on her face
And I realized , I did a blunder
mixing up major and minor once again
Very tense and overthinking starts
What will happen next
Sorry, Mam, it will not happen again
It can happen sometimes she said
And had a laugh,What a relief I get
Pectoralis minor, Pectoralis major
Rhomboid minor, rhomboid major
Abductors or adductors
Extensors and flexors
Is it an axillary artery, nerve, or vein?
and the list goes on
Sound so same
But each has a different action
Lots of arteries, nerves, veins, and bones
Beginning and ending
Relations and associations in between
I scratch my head
Will, I ever remember them all
Anatomy giggles again
It's not the stop
Let me make it more difficult
She announced proudly

I know it sounds a little bit boring and not making any sense ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…, different from what I usually write, it is just about what all medical students might be thinking when they try to learn the human anatomy and about that anatomy vivas of which I used to be most afraid of.

Thank you for reading!!!!

      2. it is study of body structure, etc of humans, animals, plants etc means what are body structures, bones, muscles, internal and external organs etc ,
here, I am talking about human body, which contain innumerable structures which we have to study individualy ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

      1. Yup it is
but confusing and complicated too, not all topics but few are which needs understanding more like neuroanatomy, it is most interesting to read

      2. The complexity. It controls your sleeping, eating, display of emotions.
You can be feeling sad but you wont be able to display it.
You might smile while being sad.
The enitre prosencephalon, telencephalon a d diencephalon regions are crazy cool. Also include the brain stem.
Coolest thing I ever did was an LP at c5.

      3. LP at C5, seriously, I did not know that before, that LP can be done at Cervical level too, it sounds dangerous ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…
Can you please tell me, in which condition, it is done, I actually have not read it
And why it is done at this unusual site

      4. Under unusual circumstances.
Burns on the lower back restricted the access.
And it really shouldn’t be done at c5.
Though it’s not much of an issue except for the complete permanent paralysis thing.

      5. So, it is a cervical puncture we can say, which is done in a few diseases
        Thanks for this information ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

      6. Not few diseases.
It is basically a normal LP. It is only done at c5 because due to the curcumstances, we couldn’t do it at L5. Because if we did, we could have risked infection from the burnt skin.

      7. Actually, the thing that come into my mind was lateral cervical puncture
        Okay ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
        Yes, infection would have spread
Well, it is some different experience you got, it sounds so interesting and exciting too, though I know it is not at all, exciting for a pt

I didnโ€™t get any of them. But yaa, imagining your expressions in front of your teacher was fun๐Ÿ˜‚.
I am surprised that someone could write even on anatomy. Great job, Era.๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

Great attempt, Era! Iโ€™ll read it patiently again some other time. Iโ€™ve also been working on something similarโ€ฆ to build a programming zoo.

  4. My Zygomaticus major and minor pulled up the corners of my mouth as I read this, haha. Pretty sure there are other muscles involved. These are all I know as of rn, soon hopefully, Iโ€™ll be where you are! Loved reading this!!
