Family of three monkeys
Left the forest
Come to the city
Exploring the new life
Settled in a vacant house
In humans locality
Sometimes their relatives
Also visits them
The little one is very naughty
With the other two seems silent
May be afraid or worrying
Roaming here there the whole day
Return and sleep there in the night
Searching food and habitat maybe
Most of the times
Destroying little plants
on the terraced gardens
Who are still in the budding stages
Sometimes little flowers
Sometimes brinjals and tomatoes
Or be it guavas or gouts
Drinking water from water tanks
In amazement and awe
Observing human beings
Sitting on top of towers
Jumping from one place to another
In search of trees maybe
Occasionally coming inside houses
If balcony doors left opened by chance
Once they damaged the clothes
Hanged for drying outside
Maybe they are curious
Or thinking it as food
People often complain
And this thought
Always come to my mind
Don't they feel bad
When humans cut down
Their homes
And leave them helpless
So, why are you now complaining
They also want to survive
You destroyed their home
They are here now
Please don't cut down forests
All have to suffer
Because of a few.
