Those are her hidden treasure, which she keeps away from the eyes of everybody, her painting paraphernalia, those colors, those brushes, the canvas, used to give her happiness, her own little world of imagination. How she wanted to become a famous painter one day but never got the opportunity. Memories run down her mind when Avika is showing this to her friend, Mansi.
Those are so beautiful, Avika but why all your paintings are incomplete, complete them, you are such a wonderful artist , Mansi asked her.
I don’t want them to complete, never ever, dont want to end my ray of hope to live, that till these painting is there, I will keep on fighting this cancer, Avika said staring at her painting and with glimpses of her life in it.
But what if it gets completed?

Walking all alone
In the desert of life Leaving the footprints Omnipresent in this universe Journey of origins Various births you take Unique in all ways Carrying the burdens From one to another Pulled apart and aloof As if the outside this mortal world Become formless, indefinite The only energy you feel Roaming with the shadows Tramping with gloom In search of the absolute truth In search of the final destination Away from the hallucinations of oasis Away from the illusions of delusions © ERA SINGH

When gravity playing tricks
Trying to pull it down It rises up, It rises up high In the sky, wishing to touch the stars Driven with the fire within Against all the odds Against all the qualms Spread the wings and fly away Exploring higher height Looking at the pinnacle It rises up, it rises up high It rises up from the burdens It rises up from the skepticism It rises up from the dust Unstoppable and never look back Follow its path, not afraid Between the realms of life It rises up, it rises up high Spreading happiness and delight ©ERA SINGH

Family of three monkeys Left the forest Come to the city Exploring the new life Settled in a vacant house In humans locality Sometimes their relatives Also visits them The little one is very naughty With the other two seems silent May be afraid or worrying Roaming here there the whole day Return and sleep there in the night Searching food and habitat maybe Most of the times Destroying little plants on the terraced gardens Who are still in the budding stages Sometimes little flowers Sometimes brinjals and tomatoes Or be it guavas or gouts Drinking water from water tanks In amazement and awe Observing human beings Sitting on top of towers Jumping from one place to another In search of trees maybe Occasionally coming inside houses If balcony doors left opened by chance Once they damaged the clothes Hanged for drying outside Maybe they are curious Or thinking it as food People often complain And this thought Always come to my mind Don't they feel bad When humans cut down Their homes And leave them helpless So, why are you now complaining They also want to survive You destroyed their home They are here now Please don't cut down forests All have to suffer Because of a few. ©Era Singh

Brewing aroma of tea leaves boiling in water, replenishing the soul A little bit of sugar and milk Mixing it with ginger, Pinch of cardamom Some kind of magic, Comfort in taste All stress fades away Happy or sad Breakfast, lunch or dinner Or any other time of day Tea is always a important part Drank a cup of tea, Second then third This would be last, Will not drink more now Determined and firmly I said But the fourth hit on the door Okie, this would be last Maybe after one more cup Drank the fifth one fast This would be last again I said Turned out making the sixth one Mom exclaimed How much tea did you gonna drink? And always awake at night Like an owl, tea addict you become Do you want a cup of tea? Okie, make one for me too More I go away, More close it appears ©Era Singh
